A cosy quaint tea room nestled in the Old Hatfield village five minutes walk from Hatfield House.

Queen Elizabeth 1 home for 3 years before she became queen in 1558.

The house is currently the home of Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, the 7th Marquess of Salisbury.

 

The tea room is definitely worth a visit, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the outdoor seating area is a big plus.

Free-range egg and cress - light and creamy delicious sandwich.

Coronation chicken - perfection! A delicious mouthwatering sandwich.

The Scones are freshly baked.

All are beautifully presented on a two-tier cake stand.
